The Yonker Arm Blood Pressure Monitor is an upper arm automatic digital blood pressure machine that delivers accurate, clinically validated readings from the comfort of home. Regular home blood pressure monitoring is recommended by cardiologists for people with hypertension, those on blood pressure medication, and anyone wanting to track their cardiovascular health between clinic visits. The large, clear digital display and one-button operation make it easy for all ages to use.
Upper arm monitors measure blood pressure at the brachial artery — the clinical gold standard site for blood pressure measurement. Wrist monitors are more susceptible to positioning errors and give less consistent readings. For people managing hypertension or on blood pressure medication, upper arm monitors are recommended by most health guidelines.
A normal blood pressure is below 120/80 mmHg. High blood pressure (hypertension) is generally defined as consistently above 130/80 mmHg (Stage 1) or above 140/90 mmHg (Stage 2). If your readings are consistently elevated, consult your GP for assessment and management.
Take readings at the same time each day — morning (before medication and food) and evening are recommended. Sit quietly for 5 minutes before measuring. Take 2–3 readings and record the average. Avoid caffeine, exercise, and smoking for 30 minutes before measuring.
For best accuracy, have the reading validated against a clinical measurement at your GP or pharmacy. Check that the arm cuff fits your arm circumference correctly — using a cuff that is too small or too large gives inaccurate readings.
Check the current product specifications for arrhythmia detection features. Many modern digital blood pressure monitors include an indicator that flags irregular heartbeat detected during measurement. Consult your doctor if irregular heartbeat is detected.
