The Wireless Caregiver Pager with Pressure Sensor Mat is a smart fall prevention and bed/chair exit monitoring system designed for elderly, dementia, or mobility-impaired individuals in home and care settings. The pressure-sensitive mat detects when a person stands up from bed or a chair — immediately sending a wireless alert to the portable caregiver pager. This gives caregivers advance warning of movement so they can respond before a fall occurs, significantly reducing fall-related injury risk.
The mat is placed under the mattress or on a chair seat. When the person's weight is removed from the mat (i.e. they stand up), the pressure sensor detects the change and immediately sends a wireless signal to the caregiver pager. The pager alerts the caregiver with an audible and/or vibrating alarm so they can respond promptly.
Check the current product specifications for the wireless transmission range. Most wireless caregiver pager systems have a range of 50–100m in open space, reduced by walls and obstacles. The caregiver pager can be worn on a belt clip or carried in a pocket within range.
Yes. The pressure sensor mat is designed to detect weight changes through standard mattress depths. For very thick foam or adjustable mattresses, test the sensitivity to ensure it reliably detects exit. The mat can also be placed on top of the mattress under a mattress protector for more sensitive detection.
Yes. This is one of the most recommended fall prevention tools for people with dementia who may rise from bed or chair during the night without awareness of their fall risk. The system gives caregivers the alert they need to intervene safely before a fall occurs.
Check the current product features for data logging capabilities. Basic systems provide only real-time alerts; advanced systems may include activity logging. Refer to the product documentation for your specific unit's capabilities.
