Solarcare B3 Intensive is a concentrated targeted moisturiser designed to address specific areas of sun-damaged skin requiring more intensive treatment. With twice the Vitamin B3 concentration of the daily moisturiser, it delivers a high-potency niacinamide treatment to areas of pronounced photo-ageing, hyperpigmentation, rough texture or concentrated sun damage.
Available from Pakuranga Pharmacy.
A: The B3 Intensive contains approximately twice the niacinamide concentration of the B3 SPF15 daily moisturiser, making it a targeted treatment rather than a daily all-over product. It is designed for spot application to specific areas of concern — such as age spots, hyperpigmented patches or areas with concentrated sun damage — where a higher concentration treatment is needed alongside daily moisturiser use.
A: Use both products together for a comprehensive approach to sun-damaged skin management. Apply the B3 Intensive to specific problem areas (dark spots, age spots, rough patches) and then apply the B3 SPF15 daily moisturiser over the entire face as your base daily sunscreen and moisturiser. The layered approach provides both targeted intensive treatment and daily broad coverage.
A: Visible improvements in pigmentation and skin tone typically require 8–12 weeks of consistent use. Sun damage correction is a gradual process — niacinamide works by inhibiting melanin transfer and supporting cellular renewal, which takes time. Consistent daily application alongside sun protection gives the best long-term results.
A: Niacinamide is generally well-tolerated in the eye area. However, avoid direct contact with the eyes. Apply carefully around the orbital area, avoiding the immediate eye rim. If eye irritation occurs, discontinue use around the eye area and consult our pharmacist for appropriate eye-area treatments.
