Radico Organic Hibiscus Flower Powder is milled from certified organic Hibiscus rosa-sinensis flower and contains nothing else. It is worth knowing before you buy that hibiscus is one of Radico's pigment-carrying herbs, not a colour-neutral care powder.
It will tint. Used on its own or blended into a plant colour, hibiscus contributes soft violet-red undertones and adds depth and shine. On light or grey hair the tint shows more clearly than on dark hair. If you want a treatment powder that leaves your colour untouched, choose brahmi, neem or bhringraj instead.
Strand test first if you are unsure how much colour it will give on your hair.
100% organic hibiscus flower powder (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis). Made in India. Net weight 100 g.
Patch test on the inner forearm 48 hours before a full application and stop use if irritation develops. This is a cosmetic product for external use on hair and scalp. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition.
Will hibiscus colour my hair?
Yes, to a degree. It gives a soft violet-red undertone rather than a full colour change. The effect is most visible on light, fine or grey hair.
Can I use it as a weekly treatment?
You can, but the tint is cumulative on lighter hair. If you want something you can repeat freely without any colour shift, pick a colour-neutral herb.
Can I mix it into my Radico shade?
Yes. It is often added to warm a shade up or deepen a red. Blend the dry powders before adding water.
How long do I leave it on?
45-60 minutes for the tint to develop. Keep the paste damp under a cap — a dried paste stops working.
