The Plaspro Slipper Pan (Code 206) is an improved-design slipper-style bedpan for patients with limited mobility who cannot use a conventional raised bedpan. The low-profile slipper shape slides easily under the patient with minimal movement, and the built-in rear handle provides secure, hygienic grip for handling and emptying. Autoclavable to 135°C for full clinical sterilisation. A trusted, practical bedpan for home care, rest homes, and clinical environments.
The standard Plaspro Slipper Pan (Code 206) is the original improved-design compact model. The Super Slipper Pan is a larger-capacity version with dimensions W 310mm × L 450mm × H 100mm, providing more volume for high-capacity needs or larger patients. Both are autoclavable to 135°C with built-in rear handles. For most home care situations, the standard model is sufficient; for clinical or high-volume use, the Super is preferable.
Slipper pans are used by patients who are confined to bed and cannot use a standard toilet or conventional bedpan due to limited hip mobility — including people recovering from hip fractures, hip or spinal surgery, those in traction, stroke patients with limited movement, and highly dependent aged care residents. The low wedge design requires only minimal hip lifting for placement.
Empty and rinse immediately after use. Wash with warm soapy water and a long-handled brush. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry completely. For disinfection, use a hospital-grade disinfectant solution appropriate for plastics, or if an autoclave is available, sterilise at 135°C. Do not use abrasive cleaners that may scratch the surface.
Yes. The autoclavable plastic construction, built-in handle, and compact improved design make it well-suited for residential aged care facilities requiring reusable, sterilisable patient bedpans. The rear handle design supports safe handling for caregivers and reduces manual handling injury risk compared to lifting without a handle.
Yes. Like all bedpans, the Plaspro Slipper Pan is designed for both urinary and bowel use by bed-bound patients. The large opening accommodates comfortable positioning for bowel care. Ensure adequate patient positioning support and privacy for dignified care during use.
