PhytoLove Ahiflower Oil provides a unique, complete omega fatty acid profile from Buglossoides arvensis seed — the richest known plant source of stearidonic acid (SDA), a direct omega-3 precursor that converts to EPA up to 5x more efficiently than ALA (from flaxseed). Each capsule delivers omega-3 (SDA, ALA), omega-6 (GLA, LA), and omega-9 fatty acids in a single vegan softgel — providing comprehensive fatty acid support for heart, brain, joint, and skin health without fish.
Ahiflower Oil comes from Buglossoides arvensis, a plant native to Europe. Unlike flaxseed oil (which provides only ALA omega-3), Ahiflower provides SDA (stearidonic acid) — an omega-3 that bypasses the first, rate-limiting conversion step to EPA. Research shows SDA converts to EPA approximately 5x more efficiently than ALA, making Ahiflower significantly more bioeffective as a plant-based omega-3 source.
Ahiflower Oil is one of the most effective plant-based alternatives to fish oil available. It cannot directly provide DHA (found in fish/algae oil) but does provide SDA which efficiently converts to EPA. For vegans or those unable to take fish oil, Ahiflower Oil combined with algal DHA provides comprehensive omega-3 coverage.
Yes. Ahiflower Oil is unique among plant omega-3 oils in also containing GLA (gamma-linolenic acid) — an anti-inflammatory omega-6 that most omega-3 supplements lack. This makes it more complete than typical omega-3 supplements, providing broad essential fatty acid support.
Yes. Ahiflower is grown under regenerative agriculture practices, making it one of the most environmentally sustainable omega supplements available — with no impact on fish populations or marine ecosystems.
Follow the current product label dosage. Typical omega supplement dosing involves 2–3 capsules daily. Take with a meal containing fat for best absorption of fat-soluble fatty acids.
