Nutralife Liposomal C 1200mg combines high-dose liposomal vitamin C with Vitamin D3 and Zinc in a convenient once-daily tablet — using Superior Absorption Technology to encapsulate vitamin C in phospholipid liposomes that protect it from digestive degradation and dramatically improve cellular uptake compared to standard ascorbic acid. Vitamin D3 and Zinc further complete the immune defence triad. 30 one-a-day tablets.
Standard vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is water-soluble and absorbed by a saturable transporter in the gut — meaning absorption efficiency drops significantly as the dose increases above 200mg, and very high doses mostly pass through unabsorbed. Liposomal vitamin C encapsulates ascorbic acid in phospholipid spheres (liposomes) that bypass the normal gut transporter, entering cells via lipid fusion instead. This allows significantly more vitamin C to reach the bloodstream and cells — making a 1200mg liposomal dose substantially more bioavailable than the same dose of regular vitamin C.
These three nutrients address complementary aspects of immune function. Vitamin C supports the production and function of neutrophils, lymphocytes, and antibodies, and directly attacks viral particles. Vitamin D3 modulates both innate and adaptive immunity, and deficiency is strongly associated with increased infection risk. Zinc is essential for T-cell development, antibody production, and has direct antiviral activity — particularly relevant for upper respiratory infections. Together they provide comprehensive immune nutritional support.
Yes. Daily vitamin C, D, and zinc supplementation is safe and widely recommended for immune maintenance, particularly through winter months. The recommended daily intake for vitamin C is 45mg (NZ RDI) — therapeutic and preventive doses used in research are typically 500–2000mg daily. The 1200mg liposomal dose is well within the safe upper limit.
Yes. Regular vitamin C supplementation has been shown to reduce cold duration and severity (though not necessarily frequency in the general population). In people under heavy physical or mental stress, regular vitamin C supplementation does reduce cold frequency. Combined with Vitamin D3 and Zinc, the formula provides comprehensive nutritional support for respiratory immunity.
Regular high-dose vitamin C can cause stomach upset and loose stools in some people. Liposomal delivery reduces this risk significantly, as much of the vitamin C bypasses the intestinal transport system. If you experience any digestive discomfort, take with food.
