MoliCare Premium Elastic 10D is the highest absorbency brief in the MoliCare Elastic range, with a 10-drop rating for the most extreme incontinence situations. Replacing the MoliCare Premium Slip Maxi Plus, the Elastic 10D combines maximum absorbency with the comfort and security of elasticated leg cuffs and resealable tabs — ensuring reliable protection for highly dependent patients or those with very heavy combined urinary and faecal incontinence.
Available in S, M, L and XL from Pakuranga Pharmacy.
A: The 10D is designed for patients with the very heaviest incontinence needs — typically highly dependent individuals in residential care, hospital or home care settings where extended wear between changes is required. It is also suitable for combined urinary and faecal incontinence where maximum containment is essential.
A: The 10D has higher absorbency capacity than the 9D and is recommended when the 9D is saturating too quickly or leaking. The 10D is also suitable for longer wear intervals where reduced changing frequency is needed for clinical or practical reasons.
A: Yes — the 10D is specifically designed to handle extended overnight wear, providing maximum protection through the night without requiring a change for most users. This reduces sleep disruption for both the patient and carer. A bed mat used alongside can provide additional mattress protection.
A: MoliCare Elastic briefs are not currently funded by PHARMAC. However, the Enable NZ Continence Aids Payment Scheme (CAPS) may provide partial funding for eligible individuals with significant incontinence needs. Ask your GP or our pharmacist about eligibility and how to access continence funding in New Zealand.
