Manuka Hunters UMF 20+ Manuka Honey 250g delivers premium, high-potency Manuka at MGO 830+ in a convenient 250g size. UMF 20+ is one of the highest available consumer grades of Manuka honey — chosen for its exceptional antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and wound-healing properties. The 250g pack is a cost-effective way to experience high-potency Manuka honey or maintain a supply for targeted therapeutic use.
Take 1 teaspoon of UMF 20+ Manuka honey, allow it to slowly dissolve on the back of the tongue and coat the throat. Avoid drinking anything for 20–30 minutes after to maximise contact time. Repeat 3–4 times daily during a throat infection for maximum antibacterial benefit. The high MGO at UMF 20+ provides significantly stronger antibacterial action than lower grades.
At 1 teaspoon (approximately 7g) per day, a 250g jar provides approximately 35 days of daily use. At therapeutic doses (3–4 teaspoons daily during illness), it may last 10–14 days. The 500g size offers better value for regular daily use.
Manuka honey at any grade contains natural sugars (primarily fructose and glucose) and will affect blood sugar. People with diabetes should treat Manuka honey as they would any honey and monitor blood glucose accordingly. Consult your GP or dietitian about incorporating Manuka honey into your diet if you have diabetes.
High-potency Manuka honey has antibacterial properties against gut pathogens (H. pylori, Clostridium, E. coli) and anti-inflammatory effects on gut mucosa. Many people with IBS, gastritis, and gut dysbiosis use Manuka honey as a complementary approach alongside dietary management. Take 1 teaspoon on an empty stomach 20–30 minutes before meals for best gut contact.
All natural honeys can crystallise, including high-potency Manuka honey. Crystallisation is a natural process and does not indicate spoilage or reduced quality. To re-liquefy, place the jar in warm (not hot) water until the crystals dissolve. Never microwave or heat above 40°C as this degrades the active MGO and enzymes.
