MagicT Pure Chamomile provides pure dried Shiraz chamomile buds (Matricaria chamomilla) in a loose-leaf format — one of the most beautiful and potent chamomile varieties, known for its gorgeous purple-tinted flowers and intensely sweet, apple-like aroma. Chamomile is one of the world's most widely consumed herbal teas, valued for its gentle calming, sleep-promoting, anti-inflammatory, and digestive properties.
Chamomile is traditionally used for promoting relaxation and sleep, reducing anxiety and nervous tension, soothing digestive discomfort (bloating, gas, cramps, IBS), reducing inflammation, and supporting skin health. Its active compounds include apigenin (a flavonoid that binds to GABA receptors to promote relaxation) and alpha-bisabolol (anti-inflammatory).
Shiraz chamomile is a variety of German chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla) known for its rich purple-tinted flowers, intense aroma, and high essential oil content. It is considered a premium variety with a particularly sweet, floral, apple-like scent and flavour — prized by herbal tea connoisseurs.
Use 1–2 teaspoons of dried chamomile buds per cup. Pour water at approximately 90–95°C (just off the boil) over the flowers. Steep for 5–7 minutes. Strain and enjoy plain, or with a touch of honey. Longer steeping produces a stronger, more bitter brew.
Chamomile is generally considered safe in moderate amounts during pregnancy, but high doses may stimulate uterine contractions. Limit intake to 1–2 cups per day during pregnancy and consult your midwife or doctor if you have concerns.
Yes. Clinical studies show chamomile tea and extract improve sleep onset and quality, particularly in people with mild insomnia. The flavonoid apigenin binds to benzodiazepine receptors in the brain, providing a mild sedative effect. Drink 1–2 cups 30–60 minutes before bed for best sleep-supporting results.
