Good Health Joint Active with UC-II combines undenatured type II collagen (UC-II) with glucosamine, chondroitin, and Vitamin C for triple-action joint, cartilage, and bone support. UC-II is a clinically studied form of native collagen that works via oral tolerance — educating the immune system to stop attacking joint cartilage — making it particularly effective for osteoarthritis and immune-mediated joint damage.
UC-II (undenatured type II collagen) is a native form of collagen from chicken sternum cartilage that works via a unique immune mechanism called oral tolerance. Unlike hydrolysed collagen peptides which provide building blocks, UC-II "teaches" the immune system to stop attacking joint cartilage, reducing inflammation and cartilage breakdown from the inside out.
Clinical studies on UC-II show significant improvements in joint comfort and flexibility from around 4–8 weeks of consistent daily use. For full benefits, continue for at least 3 months.
Yes. UC-II has been specifically studied in osteoarthritis with positive results for joint comfort, flexibility, and daily activity. The glucosamine and chondroitin provide additional cartilage matrix support.
Yes. It can be combined with omega-3 fish oil or green lipped mussel for additional anti-inflammatory support. Avoid doubling up on glucosamine if already taking other glucosamine-containing supplements.
No. UC-II is derived from chicken sternum cartilage. This product is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans.
