GO Antibiotic Support is specifically formulated to support gut flora recovery during and after antibiotic treatment. Antibiotics are non-selective — they destroy beneficial gut bacteria alongside the harmful bacteria they target. GO Antibiotic Support provides a concentrated blend of probiotic strains to help replenish beneficial microorganisms, support digestive comfort, and reduce the disruption to gut health that commonly accompanies antibiotic courses. 14 capsules — one per day for a standard antibiotic course.
Antibiotics are designed to kill bacteria — but they do not discriminate between harmful bacteria and the beneficial microorganisms that form your gut microbiome. This disruption causes the digestive side effects commonly associated with antibiotics (diarrhoea, bloating, nausea) and can leave the gut vulnerable to opportunistic organisms like Clostridium difficile. Probiotic supplementation during antibiotic courses helps maintain beneficial bacterial populations and reduces the severity of these side effects.
Take probiotics at least 2 hours apart from your antibiotic dose — taking them too close together means the antibiotic may reduce the probiotic's effectiveness. For example, if your antibiotic is taken morning and evening, take the probiotic at midday. Continue for the full antibiotic course and for 1–2 weeks after completing antibiotics to support full gut flora restoration.
Yes — continuing probiotic supplementation for at least 1–2 weeks after completing the antibiotic course helps restore the full diversity of the gut microbiome. For courses of antibiotics longer than 7 days or for people with a history of antibiotic-associated digestive problems, an extended probiotic course of 4 weeks post-antibiotics is often recommended.
Consult your pharmacist or doctor about appropriate probiotic products for children during antibiotic treatment. Adult-formulation probiotics like GO Antibiotic Support are generally intended for adults and teenagers. Specific paediatric probiotic formulations are more appropriate for younger children.
Yes — GO Antibiotic Support can be used as a general daily probiotic. However, for ongoing daily probiotic supplementation outside of antibiotic courses, Go Healthy's 30-day or 90-day probiotic packs (40 Billion or 75 Billion CFU) provide better value for regular daily use.
