A rich, luxurious therapeutic cream to repair and strengthen the protective skin barrier. Specifically formulated for extra dry skin to replenish the skin's natural moisture barrier - ideal for eczema, psoriasis and chronically dry skin conditions requiring intensive therapeutic moisturisation.
Available from Pakuranga Pharmacy.
DermaVeen Extra Hydration is a richer, more intensive formulation than the standard DermaVeen cream - specifically designed for extra dry or severely dry skin that needs more intensive barrier repair. The enhanced formula provides more sustained hydration and barrier strengthening for skin that is not adequately maintained by lighter creams. For very dry or eczema-prone skin, the Extra Hydration version provides superior results.
Apply generously at least twice daily - morning and evening. For eczema and very dry skin, apply more frequently throughout the day as needed. The key to effective emollient therapy is consistent, frequent, generous application. Apply immediately after bathing while skin is still slightly damp to maximise moisture retention. There is no upper limit on how often you can apply therapeutic emollients.
Yes - DermaVeen products are widely recommended for children and babies with eczema and dry skin. The oatmeal-based formula is gentle and suitable for young skin. Apply generously to all dry or eczema-affected areas as part of a regular emollient routine. For active eczema flares, also use medicated treatments as prescribed by your doctor alongside regular emollient application. Consult our pharmacist for further guidance on managing childhood eczema.
