Bepanthen Antiseptic Cream is a multi-purpose antiseptic cream that helps protect damaged skin from infection and assists in the treatment of minor skin conditions. Combining the antiseptic protection of chlorhexidine with the skin healing properties of provitamin B5 (panthenol), Bepanthen Antiseptic provides both infection prevention and active skin repair โ making it a versatile first aid and skin care product.
Available in 50g and 100g. Available from Pakuranga Pharmacy.
A: Bepanthen Antiseptic Cream is used for protecting and healing minor skin damage including cuts, grazes, abrasions, minor burns, insect bites, chapped skin and other minor skin irritations. It prevents bacterial infection in damaged skin while the panthenol promotes natural skin healing. It is a versatile household first aid and everyday skin care product.
A: Bepanthen Antiseptic Cream contains a chlorhexidine antiseptic component for infection protection โ making it appropriate for cuts, wounds and skin damage. Bepanthen Baby Cream (nappy rash cream) contains only panthenol without the antiseptic, designed for the delicate nappy area. Use Antiseptic Cream for wound care and infection prevention; use Baby Cream for nappy rash and gentle skin protection.
A: Bepanthen Antiseptic Cream is generally suitable for children for minor wound care. For very young babies, particularly in the nappy area, use the Bepanthen Baby Cream instead. Apply a thin layer to clean, dry skin and cover with a dressing if needed. If the wound shows signs of significant infection (increasing redness, swelling, pus, fever), consult a doctor.
A: Apply once or twice daily to clean wounds after gentle cleansing. Apply a thin layer and cover with a sterile dressing. Change the dressing and reapply at each dressing change. Continue until the skin has healed. If the wound is not improving or shows signs of deeper infection after 48โ72 hours, seek medical attention.
