The Acu-Life Pill Splitter is a precision pill cutter designed to split tablets cleanly and accurately — ensuring you receive the correct dosage every time. Ideal for splitting larger tablets for easier swallowing, adjusting dosages as directed by your doctor, or cutting scored tablets. Compact, durable, and easy to use for all ages.
The Acu-Life Pill Splitter is suitable for most standard flat or round tablets. It works best on scored tablets (those with a line down the middle). It is not recommended for capsules, gel-caps, or very small tablets as these may not split cleanly.
Not all tablets are safe to split — always consult your doctor or pharmacist before splitting any medication. Extended-release, enteric-coated, or capsule medications should generally not be split as this can affect how the medication works. Only split tablets that your healthcare provider has confirmed are safe to split.
Wipe the blade and compartment clean with a damp cloth after use. The splitter can be rinsed under water and dried thoroughly. Avoid submerging in water or placing in a dishwasher.
Yes — the Acu-Life Pill Splitter is designed with ease of use in mind, including for elderly users. The lever action requires minimal hand strength, and the safety cover protects fingers during the cutting action.
Only split tablets for children under the specific direction of a doctor or paediatrician. Never split adult medications for children without explicit medical guidance, as dosages and formulations must be appropriate for the child's weight and age.
