Accu-Chek Performa 100 Test Strips are designed for use with Accu-Chek Performa blood glucose meters, providing accurate and reliable blood glucose readings to support effective diabetes management. The box of 100 strips offers excellent value for people who test frequently, such as those on insulin therapy.
The Performa strips feature a yellow enzyme strip that uses a small blood sample (0.6 microlitres) and deliver results in 5 seconds. The strips are individually wrapped for hygiene and have a long shelf life when stored correctly. Available from Pakuranga Pharmacy.
A: Accu-Chek Performa test strips are specifically designed for use with Accu-Chek Performa meters. They are not compatible with other Accu-Chek meter models such as the Guide or Active. Always check your meter model before purchasing test strips.
A: PHARMAC subsidises blood glucose test strips for eligible New Zealanders with diabetes — primarily those with Type 1 diabetes or insulin-requiring Type 2 diabetes. Ask your doctor for a prescription and bring it to our pharmacy to access subsidised strips.
A: Store strips in their original vial at room temperature (between 4°C and 30°C), away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity. Always keep the vial cap tightly closed immediately after removing a strip. Do not refrigerate. Check the expiry date before use — expired strips may give inaccurate results.
A: If you receive an unexpectedly high or low reading, repeat the test with a fresh strip. Check that your meter is coded correctly, the strip is within date, and your technique is correct. If readings remain inconsistent or you feel unwell, contact your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
