Frequently Asked Questions

Why are fruiting body extracts different from mycelium on grain products?

Many mushroom supplement brands use mycelium (the root network) grown on grain substrates — but the final product contains significant amounts of grain starch. The beta-glucans, triterpenes, and polysaccharides are concentrated in the fruiting body (the mushroom cap and stem). Real Mushrooms uses only fruiting body extracts and independently verifies beta-glucan content.

How do I use Real Mushrooms 5 Defenders powder?

Add ½–1 teaspoon (approximately 1–2g) to coffee, tea, smoothies, soups, or any food or drink. The powder has a mild earthy flavour that blends well with coffee and cacao.

Is Real Mushrooms certified organic?

Yes. Real Mushrooms products are certified organic by internationally recognised certifiers. Each batch is independently tested for heavy metals, microbial contamination, and beta-glucan content.
