USL Sport Adhesive Tape Spray in the compact 200ml size is the convenient kit bag and on-the-go version of the popular 400ml GripTec adhesive spray. The same New Zealand-developed formula, engineered in consultation with leading NZ physiotherapists to significantly improve tape adhesion on skin — in a smaller, lighter aerosol ideal for sports bags, travel and away games.
Available from Pakuranga Pharmacy.
A: Yes — the USL Sport Adhesive Tape Spray 200ml and 400ml contain the same GripTec formula. The only difference is the can size. The 200ml is more convenient for kit bags, travel and occasional use, while the 400ml is more economical for high-volume clinic and team use where the can is used frequently.
A: The 200ml can typically provides 40–80 applications depending on the amount sprayed per application and the size of the area being treated. For individual athletes using the spray for a single joint before each game, the 200ml provides an extended personal supply. For team use, the 400ml is more economical.
A: Aerosol cans are subject to airline regulations for carry-on and checked baggage. The 200ml size is within many airlines' carry-on aerosol limits (typically 100ml for carry-on liquids), but aerosol regulations vary by airline and the flammability of the contents. Check your airline's specific rules for aerosol sports products before travelling. The spray is most safely transported in checked luggage.
A: Yes — always shake the aerosol can well before use to ensure the propellant and adhesive are properly mixed. Hold the can 15–20cm from the skin and spray an even coat. Allow the spray to become tacky (approximately 15–30 seconds) before applying tape for optimal adhesion.
