USL Sport Lite E.A.B in the wider 7.5cm width is a hand-tearable elastic adhesive bandage ideal for larger joint and muscle group strapping applications including shoulders, quadriceps, hamstrings and thoracic spine. The wider format allows faster coverage of large areas compared to narrower widths, making it popular with sports trainers and physiotherapists in club and clinic settings.
Black colour. Available from Pakuranga Pharmacy.
A: The 7.5cm width is most useful for strapping large muscle groups and joints including the shoulder, hip, thigh (quadriceps/hamstrings) and thoracic spine, where narrower tape would require many more strips to achieve adequate coverage. For ankle and knee strapping, 5cm is the most commonly used width. For fingers and thumbs, 2.5cm is most appropriate.
A: EAB provides mild compression when applied with appropriate tension, making it suitable for mild compression wrapping of larger areas during sport. For therapeutic graduated compression (e.g. lymphoedema or deep vein thrombosis prevention), a purpose-made compression bandage is required. Ask our pharmacy team about appropriate compression products.
A: Store EAB and rigid tape rolls in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity. Keep unused rolls in their sealed packaging until needed. Avoid storing in hot environments such as car glove compartments or boot, as heat can degrade the adhesive. A first aid kit or sports bag in a temperature-stable environment is ideal.
A: Yes โ EAB can be applied directly to clean, dry skin or over an underwrap. When applying to bare skin, remove carefully to minimise skin trauma. For people with sensitive or fragile skin, applying pre-wrap first protects the skin and makes removal more comfortable. Ask our pharmacist for pre-wrap products compatible with EAB.
