WART-OFF Freeze Spray is a clinically proven, easy-to-use freeze spray that eliminates common warts and verrucas using targeted cryogenic freezing — the same treatment approach used by GPs and dermatologists. The precise applicator delivers a controlled dose of freezing agent directly to the wart at approximately -57°C, destroying the wart tissue without damaging surrounding skin. 38ml provides multiple treatment applications.
Freeze sprays work by rapidly cooling the wart tissue to approximately -57°C — freezing the water inside cells and destroying cell membranes. The frozen wart tissue dies, separates from healthy surrounding skin, and falls off naturally within 10–14 days. The immune system is also stimulated by the treatment to recognise the HPV virus and attack remaining viral cells.
Most warts require 1–3 freeze treatments spaced 2 weeks apart. Larger, deeper, or older warts (particularly plantar verrucas, which grow inward) may need additional treatments. Do not retreat the same wart within 2 weeks — allow the tissue to heal and assess before repeating.
A brief stinging or burning sensation during and immediately after freezing is normal — similar to what occurs during in-clinic cryotherapy. Most people describe this as mild to moderate. A blister may form after treatment as the frozen tissue reacts — this is a normal part of the process.
Do not use on: the face, genitals, or mucous membranes; skin with impaired circulation; moles, birthmarks, or suspicious lesions; broken or irritated skin. People with diabetes or peripheral vascular disease should not use freeze treatments without medical advice due to impaired healing risk.
Freeze spray works faster — destroying wart tissue in a single treatment rather than the weeks of daily application required with salicylic acid paints. Salicylic acid gradually softens and dissolves wart tissue; freeze spray destroys it more rapidly. For stubborn plantar warts, combining approaches (salicylic acid to soften then freeze to destroy) can be more effective.
