Frequently Asked Questions

What rise heights are available for the Pride Rubber Threshold Ramp?

The Pride Rubber Threshold Ramp is available in five rise heights: 1", 1.5", 2", 2.5", and 3". Select the height that matches your doorway threshold or step. For higher rises, multiple ramps can be stacked using the dovetail locking system.

Can these ramps be used outdoors?

Yes. The rubber construction is weather-resistant, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use — on driveways, decks, patios, and doorways exposed to the elements.

Is installation required?

No permanent installation is required. The ramps sit in place by gravity and can be positioned and repositioned easily. The dovetail locking system connects multiple ramps for higher or wider coverage without tools.

Are these ramps suitable for powered wheelchairs and scooters?

Yes. Pride Rubber Threshold Ramps are designed to support wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and power chairs. Check the product specifications for maximum load capacity to ensure it is appropriate for your equipment.

Can an OT help me choose the right ramp?

Yes. Occupational therapists can assess your home access needs and recommend the appropriate ramp height and configuration. Ramps may be eligible for Whaikaha or ACC funding — discuss options with your OT or equipment supplier.
