The DRI Sleeper Eclipse is a premium wireless bedwetting alarm system designed to help children (and adults) overcome bedwetting (nocturnal enuresis) through alarm conditioning. The wireless Urosensor clips to underwear and detects the first signs of moisture, instantly triggering the alarm unit which can be placed across the room to ensure the child wakes. The wireless design eliminates the discomfort and restriction of body-worn wires. Designed and manufactured in New Zealand.
The DRI Sleeper Eclipse uses alarm conditioning — a proven technique where the alarm wakes the child the moment bedwetting begins, training the brain to recognise the full bladder sensation during sleep and wake before wetting occurs. Studies show alarm conditioning is the most effective long-term treatment for nocturnal enuresis, with success rates of 65–70% — significantly higher than medication alone, and results are lasting.
The DRI Sleeper Eclipse is typically suitable for children aged 5 and over who are motivated to overcome bedwetting. Bedwetting before age 5–6 is developmentally normal and does not typically require treatment. The child must be able to understand the purpose of the alarm and cooperate with the process for it to be effective.
Most children see meaningful improvement within 5–12 weeks of consistent alarm use. The full course is typically 3 months. Initial weeks may involve multiple disturbances per night — this is normal and part of the conditioning process. Parents' involvement in waking the child and resetting the alarm is important in the early stages.
Traditional wired bedwetting alarms clip the sensor to underwear and run a wire to a wristband or pyjama collar — wires can become tangled, detach during sleep, or be uncomfortable. The DRI Sleeper Eclipse's wireless Urosensor eliminates this by transmitting the alarm signal wirelessly to the alarm unit. This provides greater comfort, reliability, and simplicity during use.
Yes — the wireless alarm unit can be positioned in the parents' room, allowing parents to hear the alarm and assist the child if needed. The range is suitable for most standard home layouts. This is particularly useful for younger children or heavy sleepers who may not wake immediately to the alarm.
