Dermal Therapy Warteze is a freeze-style wart remover that eliminates plantar warts (verrucas) and common warts through targeted cryogenic freezing — the same approach used in medical cryotherapy, but in a convenient over-the-counter spray format. The freezing action destroys the wart tissue and disrupts the blood supply to the wart, causing it to die and fall off within 10–14 days. Effective for common warts on hands and fingers, and plantar warts on the soles of feet. 75ml.
Warteze rapidly freezes the wart tissue using a cryogenic aerosol. The extreme cold (-57°C) freezes the water inside wart cells, destroying cell membranes and disrupting the wart's blood supply. The frozen tissue dies and separates from surrounding healthy skin over 10–14 days — the wart then falls off naturally. The immune system is also stimulated by the treatment to recognise and attack the underlying HPV virus.
Most warts require 1–3 treatments spaced 2 weeks apart. Larger, older, or deeper warts (particularly plantar warts, which grow inward) may require additional treatments. Do not treat the same wart more than once in a 2-week period. Follow the instructions precisely for best results.
Warteze is specifically designed for safe home use on appropriate wart types. Do not use on: the face, genitals, or mucous membranes; warts in areas of impaired circulation; moles, birthmarks, or suspicious skin lesions; skin that is irritated, infected, or broken. People with diabetes or impaired circulation should not use freeze-style wart removers without medical advice.
Salicylic acid works by slowly dissolving the keratin that makes up wart tissue — it requires daily application over 4–12 weeks and is more suitable for gradual softening of stubborn warts. Freeze-style cryotherapy (Warteze) works faster — destroying wart tissue in a single treatment that takes effect over 10–14 days — but may not penetrate as deeply into thick plantar warts. For thick plantar warts, combining both approaches (filing + salicylic acid, followed by Warteze) can be more effective.
See your GP or dermatologist if: the wart is on the face, genitals, or near the nails; you are unsure if the lesion is a wart; it bleeds, changes colour rapidly, or looks unusual; home treatments have failed after 3 months; or you are immunocompromised (as warts can spread extensively in people with weakened immunity).
