The Allcare Darco Allround Shoe is a versatile post-operative and rehabilitation shoe designed for protected, comfortable ambulation after forefoot surgery, toe procedures, bunionectomy, diabetic foot wound care, and other conditions requiring a wide, accommodating shoe with an off-loading sole. The spacious boot-style design accommodates bulky bandages and custom insoles, while the shock-absorbent, anti-slip rocker sole promotes safe walking gait. Available in X-Small to X-Large.
The Darco Allround Shoe is used for post-operative forefoot and toe surgery recovery, bunionectomy rehabilitation, diabetic foot ulcer management and off-loading, severe hallux valgus, post-fracture protected weight-bearing, and any condition where a standard shoe cannot be worn due to bandaging or swelling.
Off-loading means reducing or redistributing pressure away from a vulnerable area of the foot. The Darco Allround's rocker sole and flat platform distribute weight more evenly and reduce focal pressure on specific forefoot and toe areas โ critical for diabetic foot wound healing and post-surgical recovery.
Yes. The anti-slip outer sole is suitable for indoor and outdoor use on flat and uneven surfaces. Exercise appropriate care on wet or slippery surfaces as with any post-operative footwear.
Size is based on foot/shoe size. The Darco Allround is designed to fit a range of sizes per shoe โ check the Allcare sizing chart for the specific size ranges. The adjustable Velcro closure accommodates variation in bandage thickness.
Post-surgical footwear may be eligible for funding through ACC or disability support programmes depending on the clinical indication. Discuss with your podiatrist, physiotherapist, or occupational therapist.
